FAQ
Solar questions, answered plainly
Direct answers to the most common solar questions Filipino homeowners search — cost, net metering, hybrid backup, and installer trust.
How much does a solar system cost in the Philippines?
Most homes spend roughly ₱55,000–₱160,000 for 3–8kW all-in packages. Batteries and complex roofs add cost. We quote in clear pesos after a site assessment.
How long until solar pays for itself?
Typical residential payback is 3–6 years depending on utility rates, system size, and self-consumption. High Meralco bills often land on the faster end.
Do you handle net metering?
Yes. SolarX prepares documents and coordinates with Meralco, VECO, Davao Light, and electric cooperatives.
Will solar work during brownouts?
Grid-tied-only systems shut down for safety during outages. Add a hybrid inverter and battery if you need backup power.
What roofs are suitable?
Concrete, GI/metal, and many tile roofs work. We check structure, orientation, shading, and typhoon exposure before final design.
Do you install outside Metro Manila?
Yes — we cover cities across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao through regional crews and partners.
What warranties do I get?
Panel performance warranties are typically 25 years. Inverters and batteries carry manufacturer terms, plus SolarX workmanship coverage.
Can I finance the system?
Yes. We support bank financing, credit-card installments, and partner loan options where available. See our financing page for paths.
